Old Iron  Repairs         Position held:    Diesel Mechanic   2013-2014

Responsibilities

·  Diagnose and repair light, medium and heavy duty vehicles but not limited to, brakes (air and hydraulic), steering, lubricating, suspension, fuel, engine and transmission systems.

·  Replace and repaired many vehicle components which includes not limited to, wheel bearing, oil sump, oil and filter, ball joints, axels, brakes, brake lines, brake chamber, fuel filter, fuel line, fuel pump, fuel tank, cooling fan, alternator, pulley, transmission clutch and gear box, service pto, hydraulic hoses, thermostats, fan belts, water pump, head lights, starter, injector, glow plugs and transmission filter ect.

·  Minimum of electrical wiring on trucks and trailer which includes testing fuses for continuity, replacing broken or corroded wires, test resistance and voltage drop in charging system.

·  Ability to perform basic workstation set up and troubleshooting task.

·  Read and follow control document, work instructions, standard operating procedure.

·  Operate heavy equipment such as fork lift.

·  Custodian skills in maintain a clean and safe shop to work and function more efficiently. 

 

 

Dattco         Position held: Diesel Mechanic Technician           2012- 2013

Responsibilities:

 

 

·  Diagnose malfunctions and repair School Buses operating systems, including but not limited to adjust test brakes (air and hydraulic), steering, test cooling system, lubricating, suspension, fuel, engine and transmission.

·  Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.

·  Maintain a clean and efficient work place.

·  Used a variety of tool to replace, installed and repair miscellaneous items on the school buses, not limited to: Windows, seat coverings, and emergency exit controls, lightings, adjust replace wheel bearing, EGR cooler, turbo, glow plugs, injectors, water pump, starter, heater booster pump, windshield, entrance door, drive shaft & center bearing, engine oil and filter, transmission oil and filter, shifter box and cable, weld exhaust pipes and brackets, ECM, solenoids, leaf spring, tire replacement, heated and none heated mirrors, radio antenna, stop sign, stop arm control box, tie rod and ends, ball joints, kings pins, steering column, test replace fuses, switches ect.

 

·  Use hand tools which includes but not limited to wrenches, pliers, pneumatic wrenches, circuit tester, screwdrivers, drill, die grinder, pressure gauges and precision instruments.

 

·  Managed time during work place and established inspection and work orders as they came to the shop. 

·  PM Inspect for safety of equipment in the school buses. Diesel and gasoline engines.

·  Clean and maintain work area.

 

 

 

Triple A Road Side technician / Sales customer Services.     2008-2012

Responsibilities

·  Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using battery tester to find electrical faults.

·  Installed batteries, Tow vehicles, truck, vans, cars, suvs and light weight trucks.

·  Operate heavy machinery.      Customer service Sales representative: batteries and trickle chargers. 

·  Managed calls and assisted customers through the process of diagnostic of the issue on their vehicles.
